StuBalance helps users track study routines, spending habits, energy, movement, and weekly balance patterns. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, shared, and protected when you use the StuBalance mobile app, related websites, and connected services.

Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • Name, email address, password, language preference, timezone, and email verification status.
  • Profile and app preferences such as theme, weekly focus goal, student mode, daily reminder preferences, streak reminder preferences, and weekly recap preferences.

Daily check-in and in-app content

  • Daily check-in entries including date, study status, study minutes, money status, social status, energy status, movement status, and any mood note you submit.
  • Progress-related and recap-related content generated from your submitted check-ins and preferences.

Device, notification, and session information

  • Device information such as platform, device name, app version, timezone, active device state, and last seen timestamp.
  • Push notification tokens used to deliver reminders, streak nudges, and weekly recap notifications.
  • Authentication and session-related data such as access tokens, password reset records, and session metadata needed to keep your account secure.

Support and communication information

  • Messages, screenshots, and account details you send to our support team.

How we use information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To provide personalized app features such as reminders, score calculations, progress views, weekly recaps, and insights.
  • To maintain security, authenticate sessions, prevent misuse, and debug issues.
  • To respond to support requests and product feedback.
  • To improve the product, including by analyzing aggregated and de-identified usage trends where appropriate.

Derived data and internal calculations

StuBalance generates derived information from the data you submit, including weekly scores, category breakdowns, reason codes, recap summaries, and suggestion content. This derived information is used to operate the service and present progress and insight features inside the app.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host and operate StuBalance, deliver password reset emails, send push notifications, and maintain infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or similar business transaction.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and how it is used.

What we do not currently claim to collect

StuBalance does not describe itself as collecting precise location, payment card data, address book contacts, microphone recordings, or advertising profile data as part of the current product flow. If the product changes materially, this policy should be updated before release.

StuBalance is intended for students, adult learners, and similar users, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
